In quality management, a certificate confirms the existence of a standards-compliant and functioning quality management system, and it is meant to make visible that a particular, “safe” standard of care can be expected. A certificate promises a focused look at your own quality and better structures, and the external certification process is especially advisable when additional value can be expected internally or externally.
